who can promote EVS projects?

Youngsters groups, non-governmental and non-profit organizations and associations, public authorities and other interested entities in the youth and non-formal domain.
Can also participate non-governmental European youth associations that have their residence in one of the countries that participate in the programme and that have representation in at least eight countries of the programme.     

Who is it for?

The EVS is destined to youngsters with ages between 18 and 25 years old (in the day the Project begins), that have legal residence in one of the Member-Stats of the European Union.

volunteer areas

The activities developed in the EVS Project are usually of local scope and can be centred in the domain of environment; arts and culture; human rights; social reintegration; children, youngsters and old people activities; patrimony; sports and leisure activities or civil protection.

Projects timing

The EVS has got two kinds different duration

• Long term projects can vary from 6 to 12 moths
• Short term projects can vary from 3 weeks to 6 months

deadlines

There are every year five dead lines for the presentation of EVS projects applications. These periods change according to the date that the project will start. The results of the approval of the project are obtained, usually, in the period of two moths from the appliance date.

portuguese sending organization

If you are interested, to candidate to a EVS project you will need a sending organization that will give you all the support you need during the volunteer project (searching projects, preparation before the project, accompaniment during and after the project).  If to need a sending organization contact us or with the Portuguese National Agency of the Program Youth.
